Fudge
It is very late and I am up with Lucy. Her favorite lovie that we call Ducky has separated from his pacifier (this is ducky number two that was Maggie's.) We have been wanting to break her of this but this is like breaking a heroin addict, and now it is cold turkey. She keeps handing it to me and saying "daddy fix." It is honestly breaks my heart. It is time though.
Five fr Friday: Five Random Thoughts From A Three Year Old
It's time to bring back the Five for Friday. So here we go:
1. If I keep asking my parents I am sure to get it.
2. I don't need to sleep. I can keep going all nigh zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
3. I have to have this right friggin now.
4. My sister wasn't playing with this toy that I saw from the other room through a wall.
5. I don't want to take a bath. I don't wanna get out of the bath.
BONUS- GO 49ERS!*
*One of the happiest days of my life when Maggie said this. Now when Lucy sees a football game she says this. Daddy's little princesses!

Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables
I had a very interesting conversation with Maggie the other day:
Maggie-"Daddy I want an orange."
Daddy-"We don't have any more"
M- "How about some grapes?"
D- "We are out of those."
M- "Apples?"
D- "We don't have any more of those either."
M- "I want some blueberries."
D- "We don't have any sweetie."
M- "Get me some raspberries."
D- (getting frustrated) "We don't have any."
M- I want some peaches."
D- (settling) "Here have a cookie."
M- "'I don't want a cookie. I want apples."
Laughing because you're doing it right- Priceless.

Never Say Die!
Never give up, never surrender! Never Say Die!
These are words I live by. I plan telling my girls these words a lot. I believe you should never give up. I didn't give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor (lol).
The good news is we got a new laptop that actually works and isn't slower than molasses on a cold Chicago morning, so plan on seeing more posts and pics on this here blog.
Our Christmas tree is up. It went up a little early this year thanks to the neighbors across the street who keep their tree up all damn year. Maggie saw it before Thanksgiving so we put ours up. I really miss having a real tree. The fake tree is a little bit easier to handle and maintain though. I think I will get a small tree to put up. I miss the smells. Maggie is just like her mother with wanting to decorate everything.
We went swimming last week and Lucy is a natural in the water just like her daddy. She had such a good time jumping in the water and having us pull her while she kicks her feet. I think I will take her to swimming lessons while Maggie is in school.
Tomorrow I get to put the rest of the Christmas lights up in the house. I always enjoy putting up the lights.

I'm still here.
I'm not going to make excuses. I have been a little busy to be writing posts on here. I think about this blog often. I miss writing on here a few times a week. I enjoy it.
Lets get all caught up-
Maggie is almost four and goes to pre-school a few days a week. She really enjoys it and is getting better at going up the stairs by herself every day. She comes home and can't wait to show us her crafts she made in class. School has been very good for her. She is being more social with other children and it really helps in the potty training. She was potty trained before school started but would still have accidents.
Lucy is two now and really enjoys her time alone while Maggie is at school. She doesn't have her sister stealing her toys. Lucy is a night owl. She loves to sit on the couch with us a few nights a week. She will call us from her bed and say couch. She is good about putting herself back to bed though.
A few months a go we got a little kitten and named her Sadie. She is very good with the girls and they love her a lot. My old cat Luke has been more active with the new cat and has always been great with the girls. Sadie loves to curl up next to girls and is very tolerable to them toddler handling her.
I was working as a paramedic and then the company I was working for pretty much folded and we all lost our jobs. It was too bad because we had a good thing going. Management screwed that place up royally. I'm hanging tough and there is a chance we could be back again in a new form.
We are getting ready for Thanksgiving and will be driving down state to eat with the in-laws. Should be a good time except for getting out of Chicago tomorrow.
Anyway, HAPPY THANKSGIVING every one!
